An Evening of Tripped Out Craziness featuring GRAHAM DUFF’s ‘HALLUCINOGENIC VISIONS’ + rare screening of cult acid classic ‘JIGSAW’ (1968)
GRAHAM DUFF, the creator/writer of such distinctive and ‘out there’ TV and radio shows as ‘IDEAL’, ‘THE NIGHTMARE WORLDS OF H.G. WELLS’ and ‘NEBULOUS’ presents ‘HALLUCINOGENIC VISIONS’.
In this visual enhanced talk, he explores the techniques cinema uses to make hallucinations manifest and discusses how from 1960s, the spread of the drug counter culture meant more people were experiencing hallucinations first hand.
And so, from then on, filmmakers had to up their game in the creation of on-screen hallucinations. Screened excerpts range from the iconic to the obscure, from ‘Dumbo’ to ‘A Field In England’, from ‘The Singing Detective’ to ‘Into The Void’.
+ ultra rare screening of ‘JIGSAW’ (1968) Directed by James Goldstone and starring Michael J. Pollard, Bradford Dillman & Susan St, James. This excursion into several disturbed minds to uncover the murderer of an executive’s mistress will bend your eyes, your ears and your mind.
